“Some spirits have no container.” -Boozefighter Gumball
My 42nd year has been one to remember. We all seem very fast to say it’s been a bad year. I look back on my photos and I’ve had a ton of great memories. This year has been incredibly emotional. I think we all feel like we’ve been pushed over the edge at certain points throughout the year. It’s safe to say that we’ll leave this year with clarity. It’s clear in my life who is important and what is important and how incredibly fucking fragile our lives are. We only have so much time. Period. Time is limited and unforgiving. There are no guarantees. I have a dangerous job, i ride a motorcycle and we have Covid floating around. Love the fuckers you love, and don’t waste energy on people who don’t love you. Grudges are small Dick energy. You make your plate at the buffet and you are in charge of your own happiness. I’m blessed with the best family I could ask for. I’m in a 74 year old club that lets us grow old but stops us from growing up. I love the city of Chicago, no one hustles harder. It’s been impossible for retail, and so hard for our service industry, they’ve done tents, bubbles, drive inns and ConEx boxes to stay open. It’s hard because in my lifetime I’ve never seen my friends in that business struggle. Nothing is harder than watching your loved ones hurt. 2020 baby! So we’re into 2021 with clarity that was forced upon us. Let’s be kind. Let’s listen 3 times as much as we speak. Let’s prioritize love and support. We all can be better, am I being an asshole? Should I chill? Let’s clean our souls and love more. Our time is limited and unforgiving. Cheers and thanks for your love.🥃
You earn the bottle they can’t see. You earn the one your brothers see the weeks before they vote to pull you inside of their family. It wasn’t put there, there aren’t steps to obtain it. It happens organically through mutual love and respect. This bottle in your heart can’t be taken away from you. If it exists it will always be there because you will have an undying love. You’ll be unable to quit. Unable to be discouraged. You’ll always find a way to continue to love this family. A different angle. A new approach to a lifelong love that you were incredibly lucky to find. Never forget how the cold beer felt going down your back. If you don’t get tired and frustrated from time to time you aren’t loving this enough. Know where to get fuel for your torch, know where to visit, what rides to attend, who to party with and who to fuckin lean on when you’re down. We should be teaching our prospects how to stay, not how to patch. How to coexist with people you don’t get along with but still love. How to love brothers with different availability without resentment, how to say more with a hug instead of a pointed finger. Because this is a lifelong stumble. Divorce isn’t an option, quitting is never an option. You can’t appreciate the good fuckin hootch without some malort here and there. Help eachother thrive and rage wild. It’s ignorant to want the best for your club but only from certain races. Quality brothers come from everywhere. The only race that matters has a checkered flag at the end.🏁
I love this picture. Being a Boozefighter is a life long commitment. You look at these men you can’t help to wonder how many times their lives shifted and changed. How the group adapted to each change to remain a tight family. A mans lifespan will have many changes throughout its duration, health, work, family all demand more of us at different points of our life. It’s our job as a family to recognize when a brother needs us more and keep our family tight. Our effort is what maintains our integrity. Act in love and braap your scoot! 💥🥃Boozefighters up! Hung over and sore they were fully invested in the carnage sashaying around the flat track. Green and white bottles pulled by twisted throttles and screaming pipes hurled through clouds of dirt. Their bikes drifted around the turns guided by fearless white knuckles. They raced in blind fury for nothing more than a laugh and fist bump at the finish line. There was an intoxicating vibe in the air that that fostered a camaraderie most have never seen or felt. Club lines didn’t seem to matter in comparison to the finish line. We all had the same goal, enrich our heritage, win as much possible and get home safe. Politics were nonexistent and egos were checked at the gate, it was a selfless affair, we were all there for each other rooting for our brothers, rooting for our club and making fantastic memories together. Thanks to all who raced, volunteered, and organized the event. This was the best thing I’ve seen since I started riding. Root for each other.🏁 -BOOZEFIGHTER GUMBALL Ch1Fuckin70
This jacket, his jacket is on display at the Harley-Davidson museum behind the Boozefighter Bike that Bill Rodenzel built in tribute to the Boozefighters. Its outstanding that a man raced and partied so hard he was forced to create a club. A club that would quickly become the icon of what motorcycle club life is. Chasing broads, shooting whiskey, jumping ramps and winning races, broken glass and dynamite. Winos vision is now world fuckin wide. Our heritage is displayed at the Harley-Davidson museum, our book is sold at the gift store. That’s a lot to live up to. We owe it to our originals, we owe to our chapter one brothers, we owe it to ourselves to preserveand enrich this heritage. Keep being the wild ones it’s what makes us, us. Every year we should be growing in, closer with each other. Constantly trying to figure each other out better, saying what we need to say with a hug, not a pointed finger. Doing dumb shit on the scoots or in the bar, we must continue to Boozefight as the originals did. It’s all we know how to do after all Boozefighting is not a crime! Boozefighters up!!
We are, we are the Baja 1000, we are mortars in the clubhouse, we are there when brothers are hurt or sick, we are tipping well at the center stage for Candi, we are 91 years old 85mph from California to Branson Missouri on a fuckin Sportster drinking whiskey with your brothers and being called up on stage to receive your 70 fuckin year patch, we are stolen firetrucks, we are Hennessy but more often we are Malort, we are fathers, we are standing tall, we are Hoka Hey Team Jamesy, we are helping our brother move, we are the stroker motor, we are Fort Bragg, we are Fuck Shit Up, we are helping our parents, we are grieving together, we are Rolling Thunder, we are drunk as fuck, we are Tuesday Boozeday, we are Hollister 1947, we are sending money to brothers in need, we are holding tight in hard times, we are loving husbands, we are splitting lanes, we are the US Miltary, we are featured in the Harley Davidson Museum, we are all over the world, we Green but also White, we are bad decisions with good intentions, we are usually hung over on Wednesday’s, we are jumping ramps, we are taking our best mug shot, we are fighting cancer, we are San Diego CA, we are stuck working fuckin overtime, we are putting brothers up for the night, we are flat track racing, we are loyal, we are integrity, we are habitual line steppers, we are givin it the gas, we are from all different walks of life and we are intoxicated with the Boozefighter spirit. We all bring something similar but something different to the table. Our differences strengthens our club. We need to embrace our differences, enjoy our brotherhood and our whiskey. Savor the moment with who’s there, instead of tainting it talking about who’s not there. Move forward with those that are moving and enjoy wearing your bottle instead of waiting to be mad. We worked our asses off to get the right to Boozefight, so twist that throttle hombre and remember if it’s hysterical it’s historical. Go make history!
