PhD update - June 16th 2026
I am finally back in lab after being home for a week and a half. It is nice to be productive again. I was in lab for 10 hours and don't even feel tired or upset :) I think things are looking up for me here......hopefully
had my first princess cake yesterday :)
PhD Update - July 9th 2026
I was able to fix an experiment that had been going wrong for months and I feel like all of my frustrations I have been carrying are going away :) Since everything has been going better I have finally gotten the courage to start writing my manuscript!
My PI is gone for the next two weeks so I get a mini break, no direct supervision so I can relax a bit :)
I love taking my least favorite tubes out first so then I'm just left with all of my favorite colors. Today I finished all the other tubes and only had my cute pink purple and blue tubes, and I just happened to match!
June 2022
I worked in a Covid lab for a year before I left for my PhD. It was such a crazy but fun experience. I worked on sequencing all the Covid tests, I used to work a shift that was 6 pm - 2 am and I was really good friends with everyone in the lab :) I miss it

Palm Springs with my family
I love Palm Springs and being in the desert, I always feel like there are aliens nearby.
It was a nice trip even though my family gets so mad at me every time we go on vacation
