Getting ready to relaunch the Belgian Waffle page, originally at the European Cuisines site, and now being relocated to mind-palate.com. In order: (1) The full spread of today's bake of Brussels-style waffles. (2) Brussels waffle with Nutella, mixed nuts and powdered sugar. (3) Brussels waffle with lemon curd and whipped cream. (4) Brussels waffle with 40%-butterfat sour cream and fresh strawberries. (5) The @petermorwood Special (for he was an incorrigible raspberry fiend): Brussels waffle topped with raspberry jam, fresh raspberries, and whipped cream.
The shiny new version of the page will be going up in a few days, as I still need to produce a set of photos featuring the other great Belgian waffle (the gaufre de Liège), but I'm running low on the special sugar it needs, and am waiting for it to arrive. (sigh)
