     Arthur was taken back by the sound of her voice- he didn’t realize that he was speaking to a drag queen: he doesn’t have knowledge on the matter. The surprise wore of as quickly as it came and he couldn’t help but to find himself in awe as she put her hand on his shoulder.  “You.. you really think so?” he asked. It sounded easy to think that way, but the people that wronged Arthur were people like his mother, his boss. People he couldn’t simply walk away from. His mother needs him and he needed his job. “I... I think I’m kind of stuck, actually.” he admitted. “I just.. wish they would be more understanding sometimes. Nice even, you know?”

     The crowd was loud, intoxicated and pumped from other patrons singing all time favorites. It didn’t matter if the singer was bad as long as they made the show entertaining and the songs upbeat. Hell, half the crowd would sing along to whatever was playing; quite horribly at that. Every once in a while someone with a real set of pipes would take stage and wow the patrons of the bar into a hushed stupor of awe. It was how Faye noticed the dark haired woman. While she had a singing voice, she couldn’t really bring herself to do it in front of others, instead enjoying the atmosphere that came with Karaoke. 

     She waited patiently for the stranger to finish before approaching her at the bar, a large smile splitting her face. Charm turned up and she was ready to meet her, hopefully so, drinking buddy.

           “Damn girl, you must be an angel because your voice is heavenly,” she whipped out, hoping she’d appreciate an ice breaker pick up line. Cheesy, yes, but those were the best in her opinion. “Cello! Name’s Faye...don’t suppose I can buy you a drink before some sleezy guy does?”
