reflecting on my still-raw chest, fluttering bird of a heartbeat exposed as we speak snow dusting the sidewalks unnoticed during the hours I sit soaking in their voices like the evening sun on a late summer day.
This feeling, nestled against my breast, after all we’ve shared after hearing the choked voices cleared throats sniffles the crease of my lips pressed together love (and tears) welling up inside me boundless as the ocean steadfast as the sea
I think after all these stories of brothers mothers prayers that our souls have known each other far longer than our minds have perceived.
