Brymor Steps up Support for Twilight Walk
Brymor Contractors have become the first official sponsor of Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s popular Twilight Walk for Women, taking place on 6 June.
The contractors are currently working on the new Jigsaw building at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital (RBH)and aretrying to get as many members of staff on board to show their support.
The 1k, 5k or 10k walk along Bournemouth seafront starts at 8pm and is open to men, women and children. All money raised will be used to purchase equipment for the new Women’s Health Unit at the hospital.
Kerry Gough, BrymorMarketing Manager, has promised to walk in fancy dress in an outfit chosen by a member of staff if she can get at least 20 colleagues to take part. She said: “We are really excited to be sponsoring such a fantastic event and are looking forward to putting our pink t-shirts on and walking for women. Who knows what I’ll be wearing if we get a 20 strong Brymor team together!
“We can see how incredible the new building will be and take great pride in the fact that we are building something that will benefit thousands of women over the years to come.”
Consultant Gynaecologist, Mr Alex Taylor, said: “Breast cancer, gynaecological cancer or miscarriage affects a huge number of women and their friends and family. With your support we can make a real difference.”
Registration forms can be picked up from the Charity Officein the main entrance at the RBHor you can download a copy at www.bournemouthhospitalcharity.co.uk Registration costs £15 per person. Fancy dress is optional.
Bournemouth Hospital Charity aims to raise £2m each year to support the patient experience above and beyond what the NHS can provide. Donations to the charity provide the funding for much needed equipment and resources.
