HEY JEHY EHY HEYYYYYY
The alienage feels like a ghost town, hollow and empty with nothing left for them here. The quiet, bare streets leave a hole in her chest that aches dully, numbness claiming the rest of her.
Her eyes lift away, coming to rest on Bryn’s. The implication of her friend’s words has a touch of warmth seeping into that cold wound in her heart. Almost without thinking, her hand reaches out, grasping Bryn’s, “Maybe.” There’s the slightest lift to the corners of her lips, her dark eyes intense as they hold the other woman’s, “What’s that dumb shem saying? Home is where your heart lies. Shems may be idiotic, but maybe that phrase isn’t completely wrong...”

Her life has never held any sort of luxury like this. In the alienage, bathing always meant shared baths with progressively dirtier and colder water. But this...
Warm water encompasses her entire body, floral smelling soaps permeating the air and making the entire room feel clean and soft. The tub is made for humans so it’s huge for her, leaving her room to almost float, her lashes near drifting shut and her ears twitching in contentment.
When she hears the door creak her eyes shoot open, her hand immediately going for the knife she keeps even here. But, at the sight of Bryn, her hand retreats back into the water, a small smile replacing the wariness, “If you’re here to make me get out I hope you’re ready for a fight. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this nice.”
No biscuit.
Me: There was a fucking tarantula on TV and I was like "I be damn if I had to deal with a spider that big" and I looked to my wall and there was a fucking spider. But I ran to the kitchen and got the bug spray sooo fast. And in the words of you, "I two pieced that ass."
Bryn: NO BISCUIT!
I'm so proud of twin right now.
She's using the Boston vocab correctly. One step closer giiiiirl.
