First off, fantastic theme; it took me what felt like forever to find a theme that was actually 'minimal'! I am having a play round with the html, and I have managed to widen body, but am unable to do this for the images that I am inserting into pages... any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

I appreciate it. Thanks! I’m glad you like the theme. I don’t recommend playing around with the HTML though because, among other reasons, BS is pretty much extremely customizable. Like almost everything can be styled using just CSS and the theme’s options.

Have you tried toggling the Faster photos option? Kind of a bad name for this option, clearly, but turning this option off should render high-res or panorama photos.

hi there. i love your theme, thank you so much for making it. i was just wondering if there was any way to keep the sidebar but also have the posts centered?

You’re welcome! Glad you like it. I think that such a layout is indeed possible. Should be pretty straightforward in fact. Just use CSS though and not the Center content theme option to center the content. Probably easier that way because I think toggling that option changes the actual page structure too much.

I might share an example with the CSS for this like some kind of real solution here sometime. No promises though. But that means no disappointments! You got this. Good night, sorry, and good luck.

great work with the bs tumblr theme! i absolutely adore it! i came across so many tumblr themes, and i can say without a doubt that your themes are some of the best (or perhaps even THE best) and most beautiful I have ever seen. i really like the minimalism. it's simply so beautiful! keep up the excellent work! by the way, what's the use of "black audio player"? when i choose that option, nothing seems to happen.

And good question about the Black audio player option, so thanks for that as well. It merely changes the appearance of the default or native audio player. Embedded audio players are unaffected, for example, using Spotify.

Interestingly, the color options have been removed from the documentation.

ehi you :) first of it all THANKS! it has been for months that I'm looking for a perfect tumblr's theme like this. seriously! I'm using it for another blog where I put my favourite pictures.. but can I ask you how can I reduce pictures? 820px is too big to me :( I've tried many times to change it with CSS but I never make it :(

Thanks! I'm glad you like the theme. It's so perfect in fact that you don't even have to mess with CSS. There are two options: Faster photos and Max photo size in pixels. The Faster photos option makes them 500 pixels wide. If that's too small, use the other option instead. I hope this helps.

This is the default font stack: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, sans-serif.

Because you tried, here you go:

body * {font-family: <span class="highlight">'Open Sans', sans-serif !important;}

Again, this is how to use Google Web Fonts without editing the HTML of your theme. (It should work with any Tumblr theme, not only the best ones.) You simply add that to your custom CSS. Obviously you'll change the font to the one you want.

Hi! I have a question regarding your BS theme. I'd like to use a font from Google Web Fonts, but I don't see any way of doing that without editing the HTML. I read in an earlier answer that you would rather the users not edit the HTML. Would you consider adding a Google Web Fonts option to your theme? I would be ever grateful!

I appreciate the fact that you read some of the previous answers. I don't mind if you edit the HTML for something like this. I mean, I can't stop anyone from editing the HTML, but I get a lot of questions about my themes. So if someone wants help after messing up the HTML, I just delete the message. Ain't nobody got time for that.

In fact you likely don't have to edit the HTML anyway. You could probably just use this trick for Google Web Fonts. Let me know if this helps. We can share your experience with others.

How do you use the twitter option on BS theme thank you!

Preferences and Settings:

To get to Settings, click on a blog title at the top of your Dashboard or under the list icon at the top, right-hand corner of the Dashboard. Then click Blog Settings on the right side of the screen. Here you can change your portrait photo, blog URL, and custom domain, and you can find settings for Replies, Ask Submit, Facebook, Twitter, email posting, and more.
