It’s the same thing over and over again. They get on each others nerves, they hang out, they fuck. No strings attached, no feelings, but it is getting harder and harder for Leon to keep up with that agreement. 

He curses himself for it, too, because he knows he gets attached too easily. Chris may not even feel the same, he doubts he does, and yet Leon finds himself reaching out to gently wrap slender fingers around Chris’ wrist as he moves to get up.

Perhaps the man had thought he was asleep - he wasn’t. Just quietly laying down and listening. Blue eyes open to look up at Chris from his spot on the bed and he utters one singular word that he knows while either cause Chris to run or for him to come back for round two. He doubts the feelings are returned so he’s not expecting Chris to suddenly want to stay for anything other than sex.

But anything to have Chris close to him more.

“Stay.”

Sorren’s first instinct had been to get as far away from the prison as possible, but after a few days had passed, it had begun to look like a better and better option for shelter, and eventually he and some of the others had gone back to it to hole up in relative safety. He felt better with the younger ones there, at least. And some survivors had even come up with ideas for escape from the island.

Chris had gone out to check out a crashed helicopter in another area. Maybe, if they were really lucky, they could get some part of it working to help them get out of this place. Sorren wasn’t optimistic enough to believe they could get it flying again, but maybe something else could be useful. He was curious to find out.

“So what’s out there?” he asked when Chris seemed to have a free moment. “Anything we can use? Maybe I could zap some juice back into a battery or something.”

September 25th, 1998

A nightmare? No.

A nightmare doesn’t come close to this.

So many thoughts flashed through the bodyguard’s mind as he sprinted up the next set of stairs, bursting into the second floor office, which had already been ransacked. The place looked almost destroyed, bar the bookcase still thankfully standing, albeit without the books. He stepped closer, feeling just behind for a latch to pull the shelf away, revealing a hidden weapon stash, untouch by the intruders franticall searching for any way to survive from the horrors outside.

He grabbed the usual array of firearms, a bolt action Osiris T-5000 rifle, an FN Herstal Five-Seven, as well as an M29 Satan magnum, chambered in .44 Magnum. Right now he needed all the firepower he could get. As he went to leave the room he took one last look at the weapons left, looking between them and his own equipment, before grabbing two Tec-9 machine pistols as well as a G36KE automatic rifle. Struggling a little under all the weight he was carrying, he made his way down to his BMW, adorned in all the usual Umbrella branding and stuffed the weapons in the back seats. He wasted no time getting into the driver’s seat, hurriedly starting the car and peeling out of the driveway, smashing the gates open.

He didn’t know how it had happened, it felt off. He had been escorting a certain Umbrella agent out of the city, but that goddamn tyrant got in their way, and now he was unable to find or contact her in anyway. As he drove he slammed his hands against the steering wheel in frustration, his nostrils flaring.

Arch managed to get a fair way through the city before finally coming across a roadblock, forcing him to stop and get out. Once he had cut the engine, he went to grab the other weapons from the back seats when he heard footsteps a fair ways behind him. Human footsteps. The bodyguard spun on his heels, drawing his Five-Seven and aiming into the pouring rain and darkness.

“Alice? That you?”

“Wow, so vulgar.. really showed her.” Her voice is almost monotone, her brows raising while her eyes showed just how unimpressed she was by the comeback. The lady speaking through the bracelet radios had been mocking them relentlessly as of late, and while Lily brushed most of it off, it seems Chris just couldn’t let it go. When he spoke up, she honestly expected more of a show than just shut up, especially towards the Overseer.

“What’s next? Gonna call her a big dummy head?”

INJURY MEMES

It happens all at fast and slow all at the same time. He’s prepared for the bullet that comes, even squeezes his eyes shut to willingly accept it, but then it never comes. Instead, he opens his eyes to see Chris in front of him with the bullet lodged in him instead. “Chris!”

He doesn’t even hear the next gunshot, someone on their team shooting the one who had shot Chris. He doesn’t hear it because he’s dropping his gun to the ground with a heavy thud, launching himself forward to catch Chris in his arms as he falls from the impact of the bullet.

Gently lowering him to the ground, Leon’s quick to move into action, quickly pulling his shirt up and pressing the palm of his hand hard against the wound. He knows it’s going to hurt, but he has to apply pressure to stop the bleeding.

The blood soaks his palm and fingers. There’s so much blood. So much. Hands tremble as Leon’s eyes meet Chris’ face, blue eyes filling up with tears. It’s not often that Leon lets himself cry, but he can not stop the way the tears flow out of his eyes as if he’s opened a flood gate.

“No, no, no, no.” Leon repeats the words quickly, glancing down at his hand and then quickly back to Chris’ face. He wants to cup his cheek, to comfort him, but he has to keep his hands on the wound. “No, Baby. Baby....Bambino. Don’t do this to me. Don’t you dare leave me. You understand? Don’t leave! God, I can’t lose you. I can’t lose you!” Words come frantically, there are people watching, but he doesn’t care.

“Come on, baby. Stay awake, alright? Listen to my voice.” A shaky breath is inhaled, the tears don’t stop, no matter what he does. “Bambino....I love you.....don’t leave me.” It’s the first time he’s said the words but if Chris is going to die.....he needs him to know. He needs him to know just how much he loves him.

“You hear me? I love you. So don’t you dare go breakin’ my heart.” One hand moves, bloody fingers coming up to his radio to try and get the attention of someone. “I need a medic team to my location! Now!”

Grabs water and a cloth and vigorously rubs it off, he leaves the horns though. "What now, Chris?"
