His family and bandmates have rallied round, full of positivity, but what do they know? Then, slumped in his basement facing the prospect of losing his career to the dumbest injury in the history of stupidity, he meets … Frank Iero? Well, who else is going to pull his head out of his ass for him and show him who he really is?

She was so distracted by her thoughts and the task at hand, that she didn’t notice she wasn’t alone in the basement. Only when she turned to the work-out room, where the person was standing, did she stop and stare at the intruder. The intruder’s eyes were wide and curious as Jamia gaped right back at them with the same look on her face. Because she was looking at herself, standing in front of her, in a different outfit. Frank isn't the only one who gets a visit.

Bandom Summer Blowout 2023 is a combination of a big bang, where writers and creators team up to create fics with companion pieces, and a solo-writing challenge.
Want to write a fic of at least 10k words and receive a companion piece? Sign up as a big bang writer! Prefer writing a shorter work or don't like collabing? Sign up as a solo writer!
We welcome all ships, tropes, and themes in this challenge. Please read the challenge rules and check the FAQs and Information for writers before you sign up. Creator signups open in April, but you're welcome to already sign up as a pinch hitter here or contact us and join the event discord if you want to support the challenge!

Bandom Summer Blowout creator signups are now open! Sign up to claim one of our writers’ works and collaborate with them to create digital or traditional art, graphics, a vid, playlist, or write a one-shot fic as a companion piece.
Sign-ups are open until 14th April.
Claims will take place between 17th-21st April. Works must be completed for posting at the collection reveal on July 1st.

Bandom Summer Blowout (BSB) is a collaborative bandom challenge where Writers and Creators sign up to work together to create bandom-centric works of fiction with companion pieces. The works created for this challenge will be shared as a collection on AO3 in summer 2023 for everyone to enjoy! ☀️ 🏖
BSB includes all bands and acts connected to the core group and members of Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! at the Disco, plus related canons such as the Killjoys comics or music video characters. All ships, tropes and themes are welcome in this challenge. Last year’s BSB creations can be read here on AO3.
