Leviathan: You do not know what is right for our people.
Atlan: (rising from behind badly injured, tears beginning to form in his eyes) And you think you do... You betrayed us.
Leviathan: I did what needed to be done!
Atlan: (voice confident but full of sadness) And so will I!
Leviathan begins to turn back to face his brother, but it is too late Atlan's sword is thrust through him.
Leviathan: (Looks down in shock) I didn't think you had it in you. (Collapses)
Atlan: (Kneeling down to Leviathan side tears in full force) I had no other choice. (Removing Leviathan Helmet to look upon his dying brother) You forced my hand, please, you must forgive me.
Leviathan: (Weakly Laughing) and give you solace... never...
Atlan: Please, I beg of you.
Leviathan: ...
Atlan: Levi? Levi?! Levi...
Atlan lets out a cry of anguish.
Atlan: I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for the monster you became my brother.
Atlan weeps for his fallen brother for a long while, before making a shroud from a torn banner flag and beginning the long trek home.
Flashback Atlan Age 6, Leviathan age 4
Atlan carries his crying brother home through the palace columns after a shortlived adventure in the city. Kala Leviathan's mother (Atlan Stepmother) rushes over to see what the matter is.
Kala: Atlan, what happened to your brother?
Atlan: We were out playing and Levi tripped got a big cut on his knee. So I carried him all the way home so you could make him better.
Kala: (Smiling) Well, then you must be the best big brother in all of Virceanum. Here, let me see him.
Flashforward
Atlan stands framed in the palace columns carrying his shrouded brother. The Setting sun behind him as he makes his way towards Kala.
Kala: What happened?
Atlan: (Respectfully placing the shroud before her) I did all I could to find another way but... (the tears beginning anew) I have killed your son. I am sorry this is all my fault.
Kala: (Walks to Atlan and embraces him) You forgetting that you are also my son and this is not your fault. No one could have predicted the change in him, you were only protecting our people. Your father would have done the same if he were still with us.
Atlan: But he was my brother and I loved him...
Kala: Which is why you will do well to never let this happen again. Now come, you are badly hurt and you must rest while arrangements are made for the funeral.
Atlan: After what he's done who will come?
Kala: Us.
Atlan: Very well, he will have us. (Then collapsing to the from exhaustion and pain.) He will always have us. (Blacking out.)
