BSS leaves its mark on NYC Model UN Conference
Congratulations to the BSS Model United Nations Club for competing in and being recognized as a first place team with the Award of Distinction at this year's National High School Model UN Conference, in New York City.
The BSS team competed against 3,600 delegates from around the world. BSS competed as the representatives for Iceland, covering a large range of issues including landmine use, LGBT rights, human trafficking and more.
According to the BSS MUN Club Head, the team was "eloquent and attacked their enormous committees with unrelenting enthusiasm, working through the night and any free time to resolve the various issues at hand. As a delegation the team addressed some of the fundamental issues plaguing our world today and presented a speech, much like real UN delegates do, in the United Nations General Assembly Hall."
Congratulations go out to all the students who participated.
