i did latin for 6 years and greek for 5 (and tbh latin is meh to me now bc the teachers and the subjects in the last year killed the joy, but like in an extraordinary extreme way, but you needed latin to take greek in my school) but greek!!!!! fuck i loved that subject so much (i even like reading the rhetorical texts in greek lmao) i was almost gonna do greek-english in uni but then my indecisive self chose eastern european studies at the last minute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

wow that’s a lot of years!! i wish i could’ve started earlier tbh. in my school we also had to take latin to do greek, but i love both? there are times where i prefer one better than the other (rn i prefer greek) but i love it. we’ve done aesop’s fables and now we’re gonna start w isocrates and i’m excited!!i have a dilemma too bc next year i’m going to uni and idk what to choose. I want spanish studies, english studies or classical (latin+greek) studies….. i’m losing my mind!!

azsdfghjgfdgh tbh im lucky my ass misinterpreted that humanities students post (as like general languages/history/philosophy studies) but it still turned out correct (bc highschool me was smart enough to take greek and latin so i could minimize the hours of math ;) )

i really love humanity subjects!!! both the language part and the history part!! (i think i’d also like philosophy but my teacher makes me hate it…) I’m on my last year of high school and this is my second year studying latin and greek but i’m a nerd and i love it…
