Okay because I was just reminded of it (thank you @arkos404 <3), I want to dissect one of my favorite lines in BtMV for y'all.

In Chapter 6 "Heritage", Dib tells Dipper "you don't feel like a stranger to me". Surface level this is Dib indirectly admitting that he likes and enjoys Dipper's company. They've hit it off pretty well for two people that just met that day, and like Dib says, this is the first time anyone's ever treated him like an equal.

Now, looking deeper at the line, first we need to understand that I had a Greek god obsession thanks to Percy Jackson back when I was a teenager. One of the many stories I remember reading that's stuck with me since is the one about soulmates. That we as humans were once two bodies bound together until Zeus split us into two. When we were split, so were our souls, and these two halfs would then spent the rest of their lives searching for each other. And when they finally find each other, suddenly that yearning to be whole again is fulfilled.

For me, the "you don't feel like a stranger to me" is this moment for Dib. He may not have meant it in the romantic sense at the time, but he is admitting that there is something familiar about Dipper that he can't really explain.

Like he's found a part of himself he didn't even realize he was missing.
