ALL THE WAY FROM HAWAII, RIGHT INTO OUR INTERVIEW CHAIR, WELCOME NATHAN! Thank you for having me! I’m really excited for this, the first interview for the new show. Lets hope I don’t screw this up.

YOU'LL BE FINE! ARE YOU THRILLED THAT BALBOA TRIPLETS HAS FINALLY COME BACK FOR A SECOND SEASON? Let’s hope that I am. Yeah, you know I really am, it ended really suddenly so it’s great to be back with everyone. Seeing people that you haven’t see in ten years is crazy, fun but crazy. There is a point in your life where you come to terms that relationships you made in high school that you thought were solid weren’t. It’s rare for people to stay in connect with high school friends. To get to revisit them and maybe fix them is really a great opportunity.  It’s going to be a big change to have the cameras back on 24/7 but hopefully, it will get easy as time goes on.

I GUESS IT'S HARD TO STAY CONNECTED WHEN YOU'RE A BIG SHOT SURFER! WHAT'S THAT LIKE? It really is. No big relationship on the road that is for sure.  You travel so much, so keeping any relationships can be really hard. Even with family. You can be on the other side of the world, saying good morning to them and they are saying good night or why did you wake me up it’s 3 am. You tend to be really close to other surfers that are in your in heats. But honestly, I wouldn’t give it up for anything. Surfing isn’t just a job or something you do, it’s a way life. Damn that sounded so freaking hippyish, but I guess I am in a way. I don’t tend to wear shoes or shirts too often.

I'M SURE YOU FANS LOVE THAT! SO, DOES THAT MEAN YOU DON'T PLAN ON SETTLING DOWN AND HAVING A FAMILY? Oh, I’m sure that they do. Oh wow, the hard-hitting question now huh? Not at this time, no. Maybe if I meet the right girl who doesn’t mind me being gone a lot and likes to travel with me, then maybe. I thought I found her once, but it didn’t work out. You never know, right? The plans that the world has for you, are hard to figure out.

THE GIRL YOU ONCE FOUND WOULDN'T HAPPEN TO HAVE BEEN THE BRUNETTE BEAUTY FROM HIGH SCHOOL THAT YOU DATED, WOULD IT? [laughs nervously] I guess you could say it was her. We were together for a while after the show but life takes you in different areas and some things don’t move over with you. Not saying that I don’t think about what could have been.

SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO MAYBE TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN? [hesitates] I don’t really know about that. I guess you will just have to watch to find out, right?
