Cuckoo's Nest AU where robin is an Unseelie faerie queen who had a 'dalliance' with Chrom, and 'left him' when she had to return to her Court by faking her death. Chrom has to raise his two human children Morgan and Lucina alone, and they move to a new town in the countryside. However, the kids keep playing in a strange area of the nearby forest that has been cordoned off because of 'faerie sightings' Chrom thinks nothing of this until one day Morgan and Lucina disappear... Chrom frantically searches for them, and eventually goes into the forest where his son and daughter were last seen. during his searches, he thinks he sees robin and calls out her name. She stops, and reveals two children hidden under her cloak - Lucina and Morgan. She says that she was keeping them safe, and Chrom's in shock because he thought she was dead, but before he can ask any more questions she vanishes. He takes Lucina and Morgan home, but they both begin acting strangely...
Lucina and Morgan begin trying to avoid the other children that they'd been playing with (all the future children). However, this proves fruitless as the other children have noticed something different about them, and wish to investigate. One day, Morgan begins speaking in an almost alien language, and breaks a window by accident, and is suspended for a week. Another day, Lucina spontaneously combusts and is sent to the hospital, but with no burns.
Chrom believes that it might have to do with what they might have seen in the forest (or what Robin had been trying to protect them from, as she berated Chrom for taking them to the village), but one woman who overhears him discussing his kids' behaviour with Lissa, tells him that Lucina and Morgan were probably changelings. Chrom initially brushes it off as nonsense, but with the increasing amounts of odd incidents Lucina and Morgan were causing, Chrom can't help but wonder...
