The angst that is possible just… ugh. I want to write it.
But think of how guilty Newt would feel, and how cold he would be toward his soulmate bc of that guilt, and how frustrated he would be with the world for putting him in this situation. And what if he chose Tina/Leta over his soulmate, put aside guaranteed happiness bc he loved them, but then they met their soulmate and leave Newt and his soulmate won’t talk to him anymore bc duh he was a jerk and so he‘s just all alone with nothing but a case full of creatures and a heart of regret???????
