So one of my favorite past times is to eat and cook. I love going on "culinary" adventures. My boyfriend and I go out to eat at least twice a week. We love to order cocktails, appetizers, soups, salads, wine, our entrees and desserts. We could take 3 hours to eat and we love it. We appreciate a good meal and love to take our time. So that being said we had a great culinary journey a couple weeks ago with our friend.
My boyfriend is from west palm beach florida. My friend is also from the area as well. My girl friend often goes home to visit her family, and just recently moved back there, and my boyfriend and I go visit his families quite a bit. Well two thursdays ago we decided to have a night out. We went to our favorite restaurants on Palm Beach which consisted of Buccan, Imoto and HMF (Henry Morrison Flagler) at the Breakers.
Each of these restaurants are unique for their cocktails, atmosphere and food but I will tell you what I love about each of them.
Buccan is a real neat, trendy atmosphere. There are tables in the back for dining while up front has a lounge like area with tables, mini sofas, low tables and there are also high tops. My personal favorite here is steak tartare. I am huge red meat eater and love it rare (raw in this case). Their tartare has a crispy egg yolk (runny) with grilled bread slices and tastes so fresh. The herbs and presentation are outstanding, if you like steak tartare do not miss out here. I also love their Tuna Tostada which is served raw in mini tacos (when i say mini I mean mini) and has a habanero sauce on them and they pack it in with tuna. Their short rib empanadas are also fabulous. My go to drink here is their Chez Suzette which is elderflower liqueur, lemon and a sparkling rose. Refreshing yet classy. Buccan also has an impressive wine list with a lot of variety.
This is a photo of the lounge area at buccan. The furniture has changed a bit since this photo and behind the half wall is the dining area.
This is a photo of the steak tartare. Delish!
Imoto is right next door to Buccan and is the sister restaurant to Buccan (Imoto literally means "little sister") and is owned by the owner of Buccan. i. Imoto has Asian cuisine and phenomenal sushi. A favorite cocktail my boyfriend and I have here is the Yuzu Collins. This is a gin cocktail (we love gin) with yuzu (citrus), ginger and shiso (a herb that looks like mint). A refreshing and not overly sweet cocktail. We did not eat at Imoto this time but we have in the past and it is a phenomal sushi restaurant. We always order the Uni sashimi (sea urchin) and wahoo when they have it. We also do at least one roll (usually spicy tuna) and enjoy the hamichi sashimi
This is the interior of of Imoto this is about a quarter of the way in where the bar ends. The sushi bar isn't that big but thats not terribly important to me here.
This is the hamichi sashimi. This came as a recommendation from my boyfriend aunt and uncle and a personal favorite.
The Yuzu Collins. Resembling a mojito but quite different this cocktail is a must try!
The last stop of the night was at the Breakers Hotel. We went to HMF which is a relatively new bar/restaurant to the hotel. HMF is considered "an ode to golden era palm beach". This glamorous bar is full of low tables with comfortable chairs and couches. The bar area is impressive as well with plenty of seating. The menu lacks nothing, it has a variety of cocktails, sushi, pasta, steak tartare (again) and plenty of tapas to choose from. I've been here multiple times. I love their dirty martinis and their mojito royals which is a mojito made with champagne. For food I love warm brussel sprout caesar (I just recreated this), the duck pot stickers, the wagyu beef sliders, the duck bao buns with blood orange ponzu, the HMF sushi roll and more. This a must stop in palm beach for me. You will not be disappointed!
A view of the Breakers palm beach. This hotel is amazing for a getaway.

Next time you are in the south florida area I definitely recommend making the trip to one or possibly all three of these fabulous restaurants. These restaurants are only the tip of the iceberg for the fabulous food in south florida!
These photos are not my own, I retrieved them from various sources on google.
