The PR Committee of Alpha Alpha Omega presents: 💕 #AAOIvyofDistinction 💚 Mrs. Nan Moone Currington Soror Nan was Initiated in Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter in 1946. Soror Currington is the OLDEST living member of her chapter. She has severed in numerous positions since joining the sorority. She became a #DiamondSoror this year for her 75YearsOfServiceToAlphaKappaAlphaSororityIncorporated. Soror Nan graduated from #CheyneyStateCollege in 1942 with a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She later attended #PennStateUniversity where she earned a master’s degree in counseling supervision and subsequently her administration certification from #BucknellUniversity. In 1950 she began her career with #PittsburghPublicSchools, where she worked as a teacher, advisor, counselor, vice principal and dean of students. She retired from Pittsburgh Board of Education in 1981. She is a faithful member of the #MountHopePresbyterianChurch where she served on various committees, until she could not. Her favorite involvement with her church and serving was singing in the choir. When she’s not at home or church you can find her at her favorite entertainment place, Rivers Casino. Her attributes to longevity were dipping her mother’s cornbread into the liquid that came from greens, because she didn’t like to eat them.
