if not, though, anon, i’m happy to answer, and thank you for taking the time to ask
Buckinelli is indeed a portmanteau of Bucky Barnes + Angie Martinelli. there’s no officially decided ship name considering it literally only has (at the time of this writing) 40 works on ao3 and is, by definition, a crackship*. i’ve taken to calling it anywhere between Buckinelli, WinterWaitress, or BuckyAngie, because again, there’s no actual names and barely any content for them (side note: i’m dying over here, i want more content for them 😭. if you also think they’d be a good pairing feel free to like, follow me, or dm me, or something).
The Buck- is indeed Bucky Barnes.
Finally, the -inelli: Angie Martinelli is the best character originating from Agent Carter* and since she lacks a canonical ending, who says she can’t end up with Bucky? Okay, yeah, that requires also following the Steggy Multiple Timeline Theory (considering bucky is being winter soldier’d for 70 years) for this ship to even feasibly work, but like... just bear with me, okay (plus there’s always AUs where canon doesn’t matter :P)?
So basically, yeah, Buckinelli works if you:
A) follow the multiple timeline theory or like AUs
B) like rarepairs with a small but dedicated* following
C) think that both Bucky Barnes and Angie Martinelli deserve happiness
D) wanna explore what happened (like, fanon-speaking of course since this is technically a crackship) to Angie post-Agent Carter
E) all of the above
Obviously I can’t make people like or dislike ships (wouldn’t that be a cool superpower?) but for some reason the idea of Buckinelli makes me happy so I felt the need to evangelize* about them a little bit.
Anyway, I will now proceed to dump the extremely small amount of content they have*:
AO3 (fun fact: like at least a quarter of those 40 fics (at the time of this writing) is written by me and my two coauthors)
* "Crack Shipping" is a term used to describe a pairing that lacks canonical basis or supporting evidence, and therefore seems unlikely to occur canonically. They are typically formed from characters that exhibit a lack of communication or interaction or any other form of authentication.
** you could also just classify it as a rarepair -- that’s what i do because i think it sounds a little nicer than “crackship”. though i definitely don’t treat it like one would treat a joke ship. some people use crackship as the above definition but it has to make you go “WTF” so idk, up to you lol.
