Hey just a heads up someone just added parts of the All these Burning Hearts in Hell series to a collection and I know that can't *delete* a fic or anything but it appears that a collection owner can still hide fics or anonymize them so. Uh. Heads up.
Yeah, I’ve gotten more relaxed about this--to the point of turning on the option that lets people add things to collections without my explicit permission each time--because the AO3 has added, sensibly, a feature where the creator gets notified if a work of theirs in a collection changes status.
So, if that collection is turned anonymous or unrevealed, I’ll know right away, and can yoink my stories out of it! (Assuming the feature works correctly, so, y’know, if any of my stuff suddenly disappears or turns anonymous in an unexpected way, please do let me know!)
And in the meantime, since putting stories in collections seems to be a thing people like to do no matter how many times I and other people post on tumblr suggesting bookmark collections or other means of assembling links to stories... I figure I might as well let them do that?
