Beattie Gulch and Buffalo Remains. In a small stretch of land between @yellowstonenationalpark and a private property, over 500 buffalo were killed during hunting season. Now, a few months later, the remnants are scattered across the high desert plains. It's humbling and horrible to walk through the battlefield. Good morning world. I was lucky enough to see a mom and her calf in the early morning fog, so I thought I would share it with you. The Buffalo must know they are safe here, because this morning they casually strolled up and over the hill down to our cabins. We all watched with enthusiasm and awe. Some of the people here have been working on this project for years, and their faces began to glow knowing they had created a safe space for these majestic creatures. This is their land, always has been, always will be. It is up to us to make sure no one takes it away from them.
