   PETER KNOWS IT’S PROBABLY A USELESS EFFORT, but, well... it’s kind of impossible to talk without bringing up the elephant in the room at this point— it’s not like he blames Betty for anything, it’s not like she’s the one who made him the most popular topic right now, she’s just covering the news. Still, it’s been...a LOT to handle. “You... don’t think you could ask them to cover me a little LESS somehow, right?” He tries to frame it as something lighthearted, a smile and shrug despite the stress written all over his face lately. “’Cause, I- I GET it! I really do, but...that doesn’t get old by now or anything? I mean, I don’t think something new has even happened for awhile or anything— I have no idea how journalism works.”

        ❛ could you imagine if we ended up , like , going to the same college or something ? ❜ she says it almost absentmindedly , though lips quirk upwards as she makes the suggestion. liz is currently sifting through various college pamphlets , each adorned with smiling faces & obnoxiously ornate text. she’s trying to debate which of the many she’d like to tour come fall , & though the act brings about a sense of elation , it’s not easy to forget that leaving midtown also means leaving her best friend. she’s trying not to let that get her down , though. not yet.

        she takes a sip of her latte just then , head titling in thought once beverage is placed gingerly atop the cafe table. ❛ maybe i could just go somewhere in new york. like columbia or nyu , even. so that way , when i graduate it’d basically be like i never even left.  ❜
