Nilalamon man ng labis na kalungkutan
At tila hinahamon ang kakayahan,
Pipiliin pa ring maglingkod at magmahal—
sa bata, sa bayan—
at magpapadayon palagian

Sana mabasa niyo 'to.
Dear Students
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays. qaqairita. qaqaqiqil. qaqainis. :(
Can you name all your teachers since you first started going to school? Well, it may be easy for youngsters, but it could pose a challenge to us adults. All those faces and all those names may only take months of an occupied human mind to forget. Their influence, however, lingers until the end of a lifetime. Their legacy tends to live on, both the good and the flawed. And all these came from that nameless and faceless person whom we surely call a teacher. And so, Happy Teacher’s Day to all educators out there, especially those who sincerely teach from the heart! They say teaching is the noblest of all professions, but I’d rather say your nobility as a person is what makes your profession noble in and out of the academe. Thus, no teacher is noble unless you really do what you have once faithfully sworn to do. In teaching, no material thing is tantamount to what we do. To put it simply, we teach because we irrationally find joy in it. Otherwise, one would eventually quit and look for a high-paying job. This we know better. This would put an end to all the rants related to money that may occasionally escape our lips. Imagine teaching despite the will of some to not learn. I find this to be one of the most unique ways of serving others, most likely the masses. And the genuine happiness and the rest of the good stuff that we get in return are plainly God’s blessings. I’m not celebrating today just because I happen to be a teacher myself. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been happily involved in this event long before I even responded to this vocation orchestrated by God. And I know in my heart why this day is worth celebrating since time immemorial. Also, this special day is dedicated to all students, parents, stakeholders, and to all the people who simply exist. You make our vocation meaningful by simply existing. We, teachers, are here because of you.
