Turrell’s were being constructed, Laurie Anderson was testing virtual reality, the Bourgeois sculptures were wrapped. There were crews everywhere. You could feel the energy of the building itself – light pouring in around corners, through the stairwells. I photographed as I wondered through with Denise, who explained where all the installations would go. //When I walked into Building 6 last Friday afternoon – I could not believe the transformation, the building itself and the crowd felt alive with art. I came home and went through images I took only months ago, and found this one – quiet, but ready.//Every Friday I will give away a photograph for FREE in exchange for you making a donation which will allow me to continue working.
