it makes me…. sad? that this is a topic people are afraid to approach. i know that i’m not someone with experience on the topic or any room to really… be explaining it but the rpc has been toxic about this topic in the past and i feel like now people are afraid to ask about it to be more aware and educated and people are also afraid to talk about it to help make people more aware because no one wants to be blown up on or have it turn into something bad when tbh as a not poc writer/rper/etc. i think a lot of us could do to be more educated on it.

i agree with everything you said, and i find its extremely unfair that this is the case because in recent times the main people who do ever say anything usually ARE poc and theyre STILL getting backlash for it or it being labeled as drama when like........ its their reality theyre literally trying to talk about their experiences and its on us to actually listen and learn. how can we try to keep race talk under the table when its people in the communitys lives. its literally silencing. and why? the fear that someone might get mad at someone else? what, if theyre getting mad about that sort of thing, are they perhaps, racist? and if so, let them be mad then.

we cant write off stuff thats this important as not-to-be-talked-about. how else can we improve when its just never allowed to be discussed. like you said, those of us who are white NEED to be more aware and educated about it, and we do that by letting poc speak.
