Pure Love Review by some nerd
SPOILERS!!!!!! Since I am a broke child I have been saving up my credits on Drama Fever (#spon jk) so I could watch this movie cause I am huge Kyungsoo stan and also because this movie looked amazing. The actual setting and placement of the time period was very well done. They had actuate attire down to the type of shoes and along with cultural beliefs from that time. The characters themselves were chosen well and I believe they resembled their older counterparts. The dynamic of the group was realistic and kept the relationships among the five teens innocent. (As it should be). Even though I knew that Soo Ok would die in the end (fucking messed up if you ask me) it still really got to me. What hit me the hardest was the different ways the characters reacted to her death. Those closest cried and lost their minds. Her father just became this hollow shell. Even when the villagers said they wouldn't do a funeral everyone still followed the four kids as they went to bury their friend. (My favorite shot out of the entire movie). The way they relayed back to present day and kept up with the characters was well done too. Their personalities were dull but when they all came together it was like they were kids again, going to see their friend during summer vacation. Tbh I cried like 90% of the time because I do that. This movie hit me in all the feels and the acting was extremely well done. Literally I have nothing else to say than that. My soul has been sucked from my body because of this movie, y'all should watch it.
