always post the rules.
answer the questions asked by the one who tagged you, then compose eleven new ones.
tag eight people and let them know.
1. You have unlimited money and get to spend one whole month travelling. Where do you go and to do what?
Out West. Travel around, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, Northern CA. I would take my friends Jenna, Meagan, Mary, Shanda, Joanna and Lisa, and I would treat them to the best. We would spend about half the time in Yellowstone Park and half the time hiking around spontaneously-chosen parks in other states. We would spend another half the time bumming around Portland, OR. We would inevitably visit Powells Bookstore, Lair Hill Cafe (if it's still there), and the Atlantic Ocean. But we would drive out and back, not fly. No cell phones or tablets or computers or what have you. Well, we could have a cell phone for emergencies, and maaaaybe a 35mm camera. (not that I can police my friends like that. Ideally I would be able to persuade them).
2. You get taken back in time on the set of your favourite movie and you get the chance to audition for a role. What is the movie and what character do you audition for?
It wouldn't be far back in time. LOTR, I would audition to be Eowyn :)
3. You are casted as a new character in a tv show of your choice. What is the tv show and who would your love interest be?
This would be another time travelling one. I would go back in time and play on Northern Exposure. I wouldn't mind being any character, as long as it was a recurring one and a lifelong resident of Cicely. My love interest would be Chris Stevens, and we would run the radio show together. That would be sweet in real life actually
4. You are a worldwide famous author and your first bestseller is going to become a movie. You get to suggest actors/actresses who will play the main character. Name 3.
Oh this is so hard ;) Tom Hiddleston, Jensen Ackles, James Dean. (I'm assuming time travel is valid for all questions). If the main character were a woman, I'd suggest Cate Blanchett, Catherine Tate, or Katherine Hepburn.
6. What are 3 places in the world that you desperately want to see?
NZ, the Lake District in England, and Alaska.
7. If a book with your whole life, from birth to death, accurately described in it was handed to you, would you read it?
Well jeez. I would soliloquize about it for a while, Hamlet style. And then I would burn it. I ain't messing with that stuff
8. One thing you miss from childhood.
The illusion that my family was happy
9. Describe your perfect day.
I'll tell you how it went, because it happened already. I was nine. My folks went to the city for the day, and I had the farm to myself. My dog was a puppy and the dew was heavy that morning. I ran all over the place barefoot and generally enjoyed myself. The only edit I would make, would be to have my little brother Austin already born and with me. Any age would be fine, but he would be most likely to enjoy it at about 4 or 5. Perfect. (but I would only want to relive it once. if it got stuck on a Groundhog-Day-like loop it would soon become torturous for both of us I think)
10. If you had unlimited money to spend in just one shop for the rest of your life, which shop would you choose?
POWELLS BOOKS LOCATED IN PORTLAND, OREGON
11. You get to spend the rest of your life in a fictional world of your choice. Do you accept, and if so, what fictional world do you choose?
Middle-earth all the way. Sometime before the Fourth Age (because the Elves wouldn't have started to dwindle in earnest yet)
1. What are the names of every pet you've had? If you have any thought up for the future or for otherwise hypothetical pets, you can list those too (please).
2. Who is your favorite book character? Give a few reasons why you like this person (or other entity). Do you tend to have a type?
3. If you were allowed to clone any extinct beast, which would you choose and why? If you are uninterested in extinct beasts, what hypothetical animal would you request be brought into existence?
4. If you had the opportunity to 'download' all knowledge amassed by humanity to your own brain, would you a) take it all and make a living off trivia game prizes, b) take it all and privately revel in your genius while continuing your life as you live it now c) take it all and find some way to profit enormously by your combined knowledge d) take all knowledge pertaining to one or a few specialties (if so, which) e) not take it.
5. The Deserted Island Question! (my personal favorite). If you could take 1 person and 1 book (along with all necessary supplies for survival, don't spend these options on survival), to be stuck on a rather small, otherwise uninhabited (by humans) island for an indefinite period of time, who and which book would you take?
6. If you could make a major change to the denouement of any book, play, movie, or tv show season, which would you change and how? (if there are associated changes to the rest of the plot, that's fine, go ahead and tear it all down)
7. If you could talk to animals, would you a) take the Dr. Doolittle approach and become a vet b) only talk to your own pets c) use your interspecies-al charisma to rouse an animal army to accomplish your personal designs or d) talk squirrels and other small beasts into playing pranks on random people at every opportunity.
8. Have you ever experienced reverse envy? Like, wished a specific intangible thing in your life could be bestowed on someone of your acquaintance for their benefit? If so, what was it?
9. Differentiated seasons or yearlong warmth?
11. If you could choose one fictional person to become real, who would it be and where would you plonk them to earth? (enter into detail if you like)
