1. What’s one experience your character had that made them very afraid?

dietrich — if we're talking pure fear, untempered by numbness or confusion or heartbreak, i'd say any of the times a loved one was in dire peril and he wasn't sure if he could help. maeve drinking a witcher potion is one that springs to mind. also like. confessing to greyson. he felt like he was gonna throw up lmfao.

ozy — the events directly preceding the abrupt end of his first marriage. i'd say the fall of emvalin but i don't think the emotion he felt then was fear, per se. or maybe it was, but it vanished very fast.

murph — i think there were a few occasions when she was young and first trying to get a foot in the door of organised crime, situations where she was in over her head and knew that if she fucked things up her mother might never find a body. i think she also felt a moment of true, genuine fear when she left the gang behind and realised she didn’t know what else she was good for, but she tamped down on those feelings real quick.

2. Does your character have a deep and/or dark secret? If so, what is it?

dietrich — this idiot’s deep dark secret is that he really loves his friends and would be completely destroyed if anything happened to them. tragic. i also think he continues to guard the secrets of gorthur gvaed very closely, even if the keep has been long abandoned. secrecy was drilled into him too deeply, and he’s still loyal to the memory of his old viper family.

ozy — a lot of the stuff he did while “working” for the king was deeply questionable, as i’m sure you’re well aware, but he himself probably wouldn’t classify those as Deep Dark Secrets. they’re just things he doesn’t bring up in conversation, a category which encompasses almost everything. (although....idk. maybe they have started feeling more like secrets as of late, now that he travels with this little group of people trying to help each other and the world)

murph — she’s successfully hidden her criminal activities from her beloved but very absentminded mother for over a decade at this point. mama murphy thinks her devoted daughter has always worked in shipping (which, technically, she now does)

11. What are your character’s coping mechanisms?

dietrich — answered here!

ozy — simply not thinking! it's great i wish i could do that. (failing that, he reminds himself of his path, why he chose this, what he's learned about the nature of things over the last 300 years. it's why he keeps the rings. practicality, not sentiment. i think he’s also big into meditation and doing daily katas/exercises. no thoughts head empty just routine)

murph — she's a workaholic so usually she would just bury herself deeper in the job, but that’s been difficult over the last year while she's worked at the shipping office because she simply does not enjoy the job. she likes going for walks as well, stalking the streets at twilight to clear her head. when she's having a really bad day she'll have a drink or seek out some fleeting company
