Steam tweaks bundle pricing, adjusts based on owned games

Steam sales are equal parts awesome, and the bane of most gamers’ existences. On the one hand, there are fantastic prices on nearly anything you could possibly want to play. On the other hand, there are fantastic prices on nearly anything you could possibly want to play, meaning you’ll buy all of them and sit with a backlog the size of Kentucky. Or, maybe that’s just me. Part of the insanity of Steam sales are the developer bundles — packages of games covering in some instances the entirety of a developer’s catalog at heavily discounted prices. Steam has recently taken some steps to make these bundles even more appealing to users by adjusting the price based on games in a user’s library.

L'unione fa la forza: il comarketing tarato sulla circostanza d'uso

Si entra in Autogrill alla ricerca di uno spuntino veloce, magari da consumare all'aperto o durante il viaggio.

Qualcosa di saporito, pratico da aprire e richiudere nel caso non si consumi tutto subito,  veloce da mangiare.

Un tramezzino puo' essere la risposta adatta. Il tramezzino mette sete; che cosa c'e' di meglio che abbinarlo ad una bella Coca Cola fresca. Vista la circostanza d'uso servita, la combinazione e' particolarmente azzeccata. L'unione dei due prodotti ne rafforza reciprocamente attrattivita' e valenza di utilizzo.

Se l'accoppiata tramezzino+Coca Cola fosse poi anche facile da comprare ed esposta bene in vista in modo da stimolare l'acquisto di impulso probabilmente se ne venderebbero molti pezzi e si alzerebbe lo scontrino medio rispetto alla messa in vendita dei sigoli prodotti separatamente.

E' quello che probabilmente hanno pensato esponendo in uno scaffale situato nel punto piu' visibile e di maggior passaggio di un Autogrill del Nord Italia un pack combinato che contiene due tramezzini Fresco, uno dei marchi leader nei tramezzini industriali, e una Coca Cola da mezzo litro.

Se poi si riece a lavorare un po' sul pricing, la cosa diventa ancora piu' attraente. Il prezzo combinato (utilizzo del bundling) e' di euro 4,90 (utilizzo di un prezzo soglia), non particolarmente conveniente ma in qualche modo "nascosto" dai due brand (diventa difficile capire quale parte del prezzo combinato sia attribuibile ai singoli prodotti).
