The two main types of theatre that I love can basically be split into Plays That Are Beautifully And Ingeniously Written That Make Me Want To Be A Better Writer (eg. Philip Ridley plays, Angels In America, The Glass Menagerie, The Skirker) and Plays That Make Me Have A Proper Visceral Reaction That I Can’t Shake For Days (Eg. 1984, Robert Icke’s version of Oresteia, Joe Hill Gibbins’ Edward II, Ali McDowall’s play X)
