*SPOILERS FOR ENDING OF THE BUNKER DIARY*
So I finished reading the bunker diary and I have to say-
I hate the ending so much
At the start I really loved how it built up tension but ESPECIALLY the mystery about who is the one above, but also how well done and likeable some of the characters were! (Screw bird that guy can go jump off a hill). It also built up character relationships SUPER well, for example Jenny and Linus were like siblings and just gave me those vibes overall, the same goes for frank when he's interacted with Linus(most of the time atleast)
So the ending really REALLY messed me up for a few hours. Like, I stared at the wall for a few minutes 😭
Then after finally getting my thoughts together I realized I didn't nor like the ending at all due to a few things
First off the ending felt rushed (atleast in my opinion) because it was basically left on an open note since we don't know exactly what happened to Linus after his uhhh... Girl dinner. He either died (which is probably what happened) or something else could've happened which I have a theory about (which has literally no proof, I'm just throwing things at the table-) which is that the "Man" may have come down and so that's why Linus didn't finish the sentence? It doesn't make sense but at this point I'll take anything.
Second thing is (which I kinda touched upon on the first thing)there's too many unanswered questions. Like, who is the "Man upstairs"? Why is he doing this? Is it for a social experiment? Why did he exactly kidnap our protagonist and other characters? It's not for money that's for sure, right?
So it just made me feel really disappointed and pissed off.
But I think I just may be extremely upset about how quickly everyone just died and the fact that, you know, EVERYONE DIED??? I was very happy that Bird died bit that's basically it. I completely however understand that in that situation most of the crew would have probably not survived anyways (RusselL had cancer so he'd probably die later and Bird would die from his wound which was probably infected).
