listen. this is killing me. has nathan ever been "normal" in any sense??? was nathan just born like this??? did he come outta the womb with irradiated skin and the aura of a madman??? did nathan ever even exist in a child state or did he just appear one day the way that he is

he was born to actual, human parents, believe it or not

he was kind of a sad kid, being… blue and all. He loved bugs and lizards and he explored/ did little experiments a lot. His parents weren’t, uh, very supportive or loving or even cared he existed. So he was just never home

he was kinda (and I stress kinda) normal as a young adult. A bright-eyed young student scientist, hoping to one day change the world for the better. 

then everything went down the toilet.

but he rebounded, and now he’s a professor!

He never lost his hope or smile along the way. What a trooper!
