money spent on materials so far: 0 dollars i got the twin bed frame from amazon because my workplace gave me a gift card the last time I had a job. i got the slats from a different bed frame: sanded and coated them, theyre solid pine, not millionaire material but we take those. the cage walls are from -- god rest his soul -- Toby's old cage, i have dismantled them and remantled them as part of a far sturdier structure.

it is going to have a sweeping trough, so i can sweep all his poop into a gutter, and they'll hypothetically all roll out the bottom.

what're our pain points this quarter? excellent question. by the time i was onto the final leg i was out of the shorter 10 inch boards i cut to fit the legs. I miscalculated because I didn't know this kit came with a middle board. This is actually very good, but it meant I was one short. My wrists were tired and I didn't wanna keep cutting wood after 7pm, so I tacked it in place to hold it there. I need to completely remove and redo that leg.
