Yes, but that was in Japan. He may have been a ladies man back home but once he joined Blackwatch and saw other dudes in the showers--- well, it probably wasn’t the best for his confidence. I mean-- you know how people are and hyping up big dicks, ‘specially in America. Genji probably had a bad case of comparing himself to other guys too;;;

but you know that’s just my headcanon

I agree. His jokes and sass are what I’m used to from him and know he’s capable of, but certain lines just seem... kinda off to me. I don’t know, but I see two different types of Hanzo before me now and I hope to give this one a place soon enough. I’ll probably get used to it eventually, but I would have preferred for them to give him something different.

His background certainly has to do with it yes, especially when it comes to his pride, but even so, in his OW interactions there is not much to see of that to me. Except for his rare voicelines in Hanamura, where he does talk about ruling an Empire and claiming what is his once again. Maybe he just becomes extremely competitive during battle, which could bring out a more aggressive personality of his, as I do see Hanzo being a bad loser or just generally not fond of missing any good opportunities. He’s definitely tired of most people though, I do believe that as well and is not one for fooling around, but he almost seems angry towards anyone and everyone here, which I find a little strange. Surely, he won’t just raise an arrow towards someone innocent, I just don’t think he’d do that.

These are just my own interpretations though, I don’t think the voicelines are bad per se, but I would have liked for them to be a bit different. Maybe it’s just the tone of his voice as well in most of them.
