@bunnyshot liked for a lil' ol' starter
AFTER A STRAINED FEW YEARS STRETCHED TOO THIN, the return of the Grand Master has brought with it a new found chance to breathe. There is less pressure on minimal resources, less demand to ration and reorganise to get through a bleak proverbial winter. In fact, you could argue it’s almost the opposite. Varka’s return has sparked the first shoots of spring, of growth and recovery in a way that the Knights haven’t seen since long before she joined their ranks. It feels almost ready for a point of change, for a chance to return to the glory days of everything the Order of Favonius had been intended to represent.
It’s a thought that has weighed heavily on Jean’s mind since her superior’s return, but not in the same way as her other demands have. This weight is comforting, persistent and inspiring and just addictive enough to have lured her from her desk to the lush green fields of her homeland to seek out the last remaining Outrider. She didn’t have to look too far to find the brunette, Amber was always fairly good like that - a prominent dose of sunshine that left a never ending sea of happy faces in her wake.
In this case, the first glimpse of the archer is coming in to land - a notable faux pas, given her outstanding gliding violations, but given the circumstance, the dandelion knight will exercise her executive judgement to turn a blind eye. She certainly doesn’t want to sour what could potentially be a huge opportunity for the young knight.
❝Miss Amber, I’m glad I found you. I trust you’re not too busy?❞ Baby blues flit briefly to the woman in question as her boots amble across the field, a gloved hand gesturing genially towards her in a cheerful wave. ❝Given the return of Grand Master Varka and the rest of the expedition…I’d like to discuss a proposition with you, if you have a spare moment. ❞
