Charging Your Phone at an Event
I got a DM about how I charge my phone at festivals, and realized I haven’t shared this info with you guys, so I wanted to share it here as well!
90% of the time, I’m taking photos on my camera. I avoid using my phone to keep from draining the battery. I also try to avoid using apps to save the battery as well.
At almost every event, or any other moment in my life that I will need to charge my phone, I bring my BUQU charger with me. This is my FAVORITE portable charger out there. I’ve had a bunch of other ones, mostly free swag ones, and they suck. Seriously.
This baby charges my phone to full really fast, has a nice hook so I can clip it to my bag or pants while I charge and is really not that expensive. I got mine I think 3 years ago now, and it’s still working great.
I have the green pineapple guy, it’s actually scented which cracks me up. You can see the prices range from $20-$25, and they’re just a great investment. You won’t regret buying one.
I’m trying to find small ways to make some money with my blog, and when looking up these chargers again to share with you, I found that if I sign up for their affiliate program I can make a small % if you guys order using my link.
It’s no extra cost to you, but a little way I get to make some money on a blog I virtually make nothing on. I always want to be upfront with this kind of stuff with you guys. So if you do buy, please use my direct link :)
When I attend something like Lightning in a Bottle, an event where I need to be festival camping, I have another charger I bring as well. I really hate the “sit at this space and charge your phone” thing going on at a lot of events, so I am sure to bring my own.
Solar chargers are the way to go for this. There’s a bunch of ones out there, and prices can skyrocket quickly. For me, I use the Waka Waka Power+. It’s a solar charger for my phone but also doubles as a solar flashlight. Two in one! The light on it is really bright as well, so I actually do use it.
I also like that it has this little clippy thing, so I’ll tie it to my backpack or something so it just charges all day while I’m walking around exploring. Nobody has time to sit there and charge!
This is obviously more on the expensive side, but another great thing about it is that for every purchase you make, the company helps make light available to families and people in remote areas. So buy getting, you’re giving!
You can save 10% by signing up for their emails as well. Check out this charger/light and the rest of their products. I really like mine, and I think you will too.
Hope this was helpful!
