Black women are not single because no one wants to be with us or because something is wrong with us...
Black women are single these days because we know now that it's not a curse.
Black women are single because we are choosing to be.
Black women are single because we becoming more grown and successful and we don't have time for men who are not adding to the table that we already have set up for ourselves.
Black women are single because now we are choosing to look for red flags early and getting rid of y'all the first time y'all show your true colors.
Black women are single because during the dating stage we are now actually collecting data to see if we really want to take this to the next level.
Black women are single because some of us are refusing to date someone and give certain benefits to men that are gonna tell us "I'm not trying to be in a relationship" and are being more vocal about our intentions early in the relationship.
Black women are single because a lot of men just expect us to be superheros and pick up the slack...."it's always a black woman".
Black women are single because we are beginning to realize that our lives are not defined by whether or not we are married or have kids.
Black women are single because a lot of us want to be.
So stop judging black women for being successful and single or just being single. Being single is not a curse.
