#Archovember Day 24 - Burkesuchus mallingrandensis

Burkesuchus was a basal neosuchian from Late Jurassic Chile. It was very small, and probably fed on invertebrates and small fish, not having the ability to tear off chunks of prey like modern crocodilians.

Coming from the Toqui Formation, Burkesuchus would have lived alongside the mysterious Chilesaurus and multiple species of indeterminate sauropods.

(So why did I make this so brightly colored? Idk… I’m getting a bit tired of “just a croc”s and I had North River Terrapins on the brain…)
