You are standing on the street in front of Erik’s apartment. This evening you will meet his friends, at least the ones who are his teammates at Borussia Dortmund. You never have been that interested in football but you know most of the names and yes you know what offside means. But there you stand not sure if you are ready for this. You are dating since two months and you are already his girlfriend and Erik has been very excited to show you to his teammates but you are suddenly so unsure. What shall happen? Erik will protect and these are his friends they won’t hurt you. He always has been saying that they want to meet and like you. You decide to trust him this one of the most important things in a relationship. And you probably shall make a good first impression at them. Furthermore he has told that Mats’ and Marco’s girlfriend will also be there so you won’t be the only girl stuck with 8 boys.
You ring the doorbell and put a smile on your face, first it is a fake one but when Erik opens you the door you smile even with your eyes. It is just impossible to look at this little ball of sunshine without smiling. “Ahh...you look wonderful today, sweetie.” He takes you in his arms as an address of welcome and gives you a short and sweet kiss on the cheek.
“Are they here yet?” You ask him while he gently helps you to get out of your trench-coat.
“Yes, Marco, Mats and their girlfriends, Kevin, Marcel and Matthias. Neven has cancelled because he is sick.”
“Really? Poor boy. Please tell him to get well soon from me.” You are kind of good at small talk but then the moment is there to go in the living room and you look a little scare till Erik smiles at you and he puts an arm around your shoulders.
“Y/N these are Marco and Bianey, they’re almost married.”
“Still four weeks left. Nice to meet you.” You shake Marco’s hand as he seems to want and then Bianey talks. “Nice to meet you. I hope you will be Erik’s championship then.”
“Nice to meet you and I hope the same.” You try to look gentle and it seems to work. They are really nice.
“And this are Mats and Cathy they will get married two months later.”
“Wow, everybody seems to marry in this room. Erik I think we must be careful.” You joke and at least some of them laugh Erik more blushes than laughs but it’s still cute.
“And here we have Kevin, Marcel and Matthias you already know.”
“Nice to meet y’all. How is practice going? Everything ready for the game on Saturday?”
“Of course! We will win!” Kevin is screaming. He probably is a kind of extroverted person. Erik places you right next to him before he gets a little more beer.
“So how long are the two of you together now?” Cathy wants to know. As Erik is still out of the room you decide to answer.
“Well we started dating more than two months ago and I believe we’re boyfriend since a month.”
“Don’t tell him all the nasty details!” Erik jokes around giving everyone another beer.
“He always talks about you. He sometimes can’t even shut up.” Marcel tells you. He and Kevin are sitting on the floor just like Marco who is sitting between Bianey’s legs while she strokes his hair.
Erik is blushing again but you believe it’s better to keep the conversation going.
“So how old are you all?” You ask and the evening gets better from hour to hour. Everybody is having fun at two am you are even dancing around the room it has been better than you expected it to be and you are sure you will have a lot of fun in the next time with Erik’s friends.
