The nightmares kept coming and gradually, you were losing more and more sleep every night. Freddy and the others noticed the change in you when you started snapping at them more, yawned quite often and drank energy drinks to keep yourself awake during the late nights at the Plex.
You were sitting in Parts and Service, staring at the box that once contained the pieces that you used to repair Bonnie. The hat and hook you found in the box sat on top of the broken scraps that you had removed from Bonnie’s endoskeleton. ‘Who do you belong to?’ The question circled around in your head, causing you to become a little dizzy before you heard the familiar voice of Bonnie behind you.
“Hey, whatcha doing down here?” The purple rabbit asked, coming to your side and looked into the box himself. You looked at him with tired, drooping, half open eyes and watched as his expression changed to a look of recognition when he spotted the two items.
“Where did you find those?” His tone dropped with sadness and his eyes came to look at you.
“They were in this box with the pieces I used to put you back together. Why?” You asked curiously, resting the side of your head against your fist and continuing to look up at the towering, 7+ foot tall animatronic rabbit. Bonnie was silent for a long while before he looked back into the box and picked up the pirate hat.
“They belong to a friend. One I haven’t seen since this place opened.” Bonnie said vaguely, causing you more confusion and giving you a headache so you rolled your eyes and closed the box, shaking your head as you stood from the chair you were sitting in.
“Where did you find the box?” Bonnie asked, watching you stand up and getting ready to leave.
“In the maintenance tunnels near the daycare.” You answered, turning and looking at the purple bunny for a moment. “I can take you there. Come on.” You added, gesturing for him to follow you while you started leaving Parts and Service and headed down into the tunnels with Bonnie trailing behind you.
It didn’t take long for the two of you to reach where you had found the box of parts and when you did, Bonnie started to investigate the area. “What exactly are you looking for?” You asked him, placing your hands on your hips and tilting your head to the side a bit.
“Not what. Who.” Bonnie said, looking at you before continuing deeper into the tunnels and you jogged to catch up with him.
“Wha?” You looked up at him but didn’t receive a response because he continued to search and search. The two of you got to the daycare area and moved past to get to the theater, and then down a hall where there was a locked down with a poster of a character you had never seen at the Pizzaplex before. A pirate fox. You recognized the hat and hook immediately and realized that’s who Bonnie was looking for.
Bonnie busted down the door and the two of you started down the flights of metal stairs before you came to the floor. Your eyes scanned around and saw many things that seemed to be old or previously used things. This place seemed to be a storage room for these cutouts and props.
After splitting up and searching the entirety of the room, Bonnie called you over to a room that he was entering to look through. When you got there, sitting on the floor was a brand new looking fox animatronic in a pirate outfit.
“Help me lift him up.” Bonnie said, standing on one side of the fox with you on the other side. You both leaned down and lifted the fox up by the underneath of his arms before setting him on a chair and looking at him some more.
“Who is he?” You asked, looking at Bonnie again with a curious expression.
“Foxy the Pirate Fox. He, Freddy, Chica and I…we’ve been alive since the beginning.” Bonnie said, looking down at you with a saddened expression.
“Is there any way for you to power him up? See if he’s still here?” Bonnie asked, his look changing to one that pleaded for you to do something.
“I, well, I might be able to. But how do we know if he’s been affected by that virus like the others?” You asked, wondering if it was safe to even power up the animatronic.
“We don’t. And we won’t until you power him up.” Bonnie said. You took a deep breath and sighed heavily, feeling fatigued from lack of sleep but you stepped behind the fox and flipped open his power panel, looking at the interior and seeing that a few wires were disconnected and the switch was powered off so with a bit of careful wiring, you got the wires reconnected and held your breath as you flipped the switch.
For a few long moments, nothing happened until you went to shut the panel and your hand was suddenly grabbed. Within seconds, you were pinned against the wall by a metal hand and a low snarling rumbled from the animatronic holding you against the wall.
“Foxy! Foxy! It’s okay! She’s not here to hurt us! She’s helping!” Bonnie exclaimed, putting a hand on the fox’s shoulder. Foxy turned his head and looked at Bonnie before looking at you again and quickly releasing you from his hold. You gasped for air and swallowed hard, rubbing your neck and wrist in the spots that he had been holding previously.
“Bonnie?” Foxy questioned before looking at himself and seeming shocked by his own appearance. “What happened to me?!” Foxy caught a glimpse of the robotic tail swaying behind him.
“When did I get a tail?! What is going on?!” The fox was frantic, spinning around to look at his backside and see the tail better but that only led to him getting dizzy and almost falling over.
“Before I answer those questions, let’s get you out of this place and with the others. I’m sure you’ll be relieved to see a few familiar faces.” Bonnie explained to the frantic fox. You walked in front of the two towering animatronics, leading them out of the tunnels and up to Rockstar Row.
“Oh thank god.” You heard a familiar voice say from in front of you. It was Freddy. The other three were following him. “I thought something happened to you. Where did you go?” Freddy asked in a worried tone.
“I went down to Parts and Service again. But, uh, Bonnie and I found someone else and powered him up.” You stepped aside and turned to look at Bonnie and Foxy, watching as Bonnie explained everything that had happened. Foxy was shocked, confused, and all over the place.
Chica and Freddy approached the other two and they all embraced each other.
✨You were curiously digging through grandpa’s newspapers and mail until you came across a flier of sorts that had four mascots on it. A bear, a chicken, a rabbit, and a fox. You picked up the flier and ran out of the room, searching for your grandpa to ask about it. When you did, he had a fearful look in his eyes.
“That is a horrible place for children but it is long gone now. You are not to go around those robots or anyone associated with that place, you hear me?” Your grandpa’s voice shook as he spoke to you, kneeling down to be eye level with you and taking the flier from your small hands. “You have to promise me that you will not associate yourself with this place.” He added, squeezing your hands.✨
“Y/n? Y/n!” Roxy shook you out of your trance and you blinked a couple of times before looking at her. “Hey, what happened?” She asked you, concern in her yellow eyes.
“I…I remember them.” You muttered, looking at the four animatronics as they parted from their hug. “I’ve seen a flier with you four on it.” You directly addressed the four. They all turned to look at you with a confused expression on each of their faces. You dug into your pocket and pulled out your wallet, opening it up and pulling out a folded piece of paper. You had kept the flier as a reminder of the promise and as you unfolded it, you realized that you had unknowingly broken that promise by taking this job. “Your looks were different, but you four are the same four animal mascots from back then.”
Once the flier was unfolded, you turned it around and showed the four standing in front of you. “My grandpa told me to stay away from this place. Why?” You asked but before they could give you an answer, chaos ensued as Roxy and Chica started to glitch and malfunction like Freddy had before.
“Oh no. Not again.” You stepped back and looked at the guys, swallowing hard and watching as Roxy and Chica calmed and looked at you with feral, purple eyes.
“Shit.”
Roxy went to jump at me but was caught by the tail and pulled back by Foxy, who held a look of ‘get the hell out of here’ in his eyes. You looked at the three male animatronics in turn before turning on your heel and running, your mind going back to the underground restaurant underneath the Pizzaplex. ‘I need to find that bastard and stop this from getting out of hand.’ you thought, feeling your legs starting to ache from running.
It was hard to find your way back down to the buried grave since the first time you found it by accident but once you were there, you were prepared. You flicked on your flashlight and glanced around at the state that this place had become.
✨Music was playing through the speakers of the main party room. Bonnie, Freddy, and Chica were on stage, seeming to be playing the music. Children were running around happily, screaming and playing with their friends while celebrating a birthday party, it seemed. Parents were standing off to the side, watching their children have fun and chatting with each other every once in a while.
On another stage was a golden-colored Freddy and Bonnie with purple ties. Another birthday party was being occupied by them. You glanced around. ‘Where’s foxy?’ you thought, frowning a little.
You blinked and there was screaming. Children were running to their parents. Something had happened. You pushed through and were met with a gruesome sight. The golden Freddy had the head of a boy in his mouth, blood dripping from the sides of his mouth and the child seemed limp. A group of four teenagers wearing masks that resembled the other animatronics stopped their laughing and the one with the fox mask ripped his mask off.
A man came out from the backstage area. Purple guard uniform. He looked horrified and on the edge of breaking down. Their talking was muffled in your ears but the guard looked at you, seeming to have spotted you.✨
You took in a deep breath of air once you came out of the vision you had. ‘That poor child.’ You thought before thinking back to Freddy. ‘I wonder if he or the others remember that incident.’ You shook your head a little and continued through the building, looking carefully and stepping over knocked-over tables and boxes.
‘How could someone let that happen to a child?’ Your mind was circling with thoughts regarding the vision of the past of this place. You looked at the separate stages, the images flashing in your mind and making your stomach turn in sickness of the blood. While you continued through the abandoned restaurant, you could feel eyes on you, watching you from behind but when you turned around to see if someone had followed you, no one was there. You pressed on, looking into every party room, the kitchen, the bathrooms, every room before you came back to the main stage and spotted the door to the backstage area.
‘What was a guard doing back there?’ you thought, walking over and pushing to get the door open but it wouldn’t budge. With a shove into the door with your shoulder and some pain, you got the door to swing open harshly and gagged upon the smell.
“What crawled in here and died?” you asked yourself but you regretted the question when you flipped on the lights and stared in horror at the sight of four animatronic mascots sitting on the floor of the backstage room, dried blood and what looked like the insides of a person hanging out of each of them. You had to quickly leave the room before you threw up from the smell and sight.
Once your composure was gathered again, you moved on, closing the door to the backstage room and swearing to yourself that you would never go back into the room again. You finished investigating through the rooms of the restaurant and walked down a seemingly endless hallway until you came to a doorway on the left of you. It looked to be an office. You peeked at the monitors on the desk and jumped upon the sound of the metal doors closing harshly.
“Hey! Let me out of here!” You yelled, looking around before spotting a camera in the corner of the room.
“You know too much now. You were not supposed to find that room.” The voice spoke through the speakers in the room.
“Come out and face me, you coward.” You spat, clenching your arms tightly.
“How about….you face your beloved friends instead.” A sinister laugh followed the sentence and the doors opened before the six animatronics filed into the room through both doors. Their eyes were glowing purple, movements were twitchy and you were backed into a corner.
Blood was rushing through your body, adrenaline on high alert. “Guys, come on. You know me.” You laughed nervously and swallowed hard, watching them glance between each other before their eyes landed on you again and Freddy grabbed you, throwing you over his shoulder before leading the others out of the office and back up to the Pizzaplex. You tried to get free but the bear had a strong grip on you, there was no way you were getting free.
“Guys please, don’t do this. This isn’t like any of you! Foxy! Bonnie! Please!” You called to the two animatronics but they did nothing other than follow behind Freddy.
‘They’re not listening to me.’ You thought, frowning and feeling tears swell in your eyes. Your eyes landed on the platform of the stage underneath you. Your fear started to spike in your veins as you looked at the others and felt the color drain from your face. The platform slowly lowered you down to Parts and Service, you started to squirm again, trying to get free because of the idea of what was bound to happen to you.
“No, no. Please, don’t do this!” You pushed against Freddy’s shoulder and felt the tears rolling down your cheeks. You were dropped into the chair of the security chamber and your limbs were held down by Monty while your wrists and ankles were strapped down to prevent you from escaping.
“It’s time for you to join us, Y/n. Feel the pain we felt.” Chica said, looking down at you before looking over at the door as it parted open when Freddy came back with a suit you had never seen before. Once the final strap was tied down, keeping your back firmly against the table, you felt your heart drop when your eyes met with Freddy’s eyes.
