Okay so apparently no one has read shadow falls so... I'm doing it:
Why Shadow Falls is awesome:
Fantasy of all kinds: vampires, werewolves, faes, ghosts, witches...
All of them, btw, between 15 and 60 years old, not just teens
Practically all of them with life problems besides their supernaturalism, which makes them more real
Including, but not limited to:
Asian vampire with self steam problems because of strict parents
Werewolves with abusive parents that takes care of their families and have to deal with pack traditions that are bullshit but end up succeeding
Dyslexic witch that has problems casting spells and is rejected by her family because of kt
Shape-shifter with anger issues that must learn self control
Hell, in the first chapter of the first book the main protagonist already has been cheated on, lost her grandma and her parents are divorcing. Also, she's being sent to a weird summer camp for problematic teenagers. And she's nice anyway
When there's a crisis (like, the whole time), counsellor's solution is giving away oreos and drinking chocolate vodka. Holiday is an awesome lady, really
Couples that take time to develop, they dont just see each other and by the next page they're a couple
"Thats not Perry (shapeshifter). You've been screaming at a real lion, who someone put in your room, totally naked, calling him a perv"
Characters' problems dont solve when they meet "the one". They dont even know they've found the one in the instant they meet them, they have realistic relationships
Cute and functional couples with happy endings all over
Literally sends the message that even the weirdest weirdos end up finding their place in the world
Its fun, its diverse, its realistic and romantic love is not the main character
