NOT AN UPDATE + SPOILERS FOR FUTURE CHARACTER DESIGNS
i made @jumalanpelko versions of some p&f characters... But some of these guys don't exist yet and also this obviously isn't cannon to Burning flowers.
That's right baby! Oleander as a guard(which I spelt wrong oops) and a mystery cat as their Suncat. I'll be referring to Oleander as Guard for the sake of jumalanpelko stuff.

GUARD:
-he/they
-🟡's biggest hater
-very tall and menacing
-everything wants to kill his Suncat but he is a good guard so he doesn't let that happen
-originally planned to kill SunCat so he could kill Her, but ended up getting attached.
-good with kittens if they can get past his spookiness
-has scars from other cats, limp from a canine or vulpine of some sort, and ear injury from SunCat.

SUNCAT:
-it/they
-Janus cat!(I know they likely wouldnt survive for long but... I like them being a janus cat too much)
-knows lots of things want it dead, accepts this because they also are a big hater of Her and would be fine dying if it means She dies too.
-Close with it's siblings against the colony's wishes
-guard taught it how to defend themselves if they ever got caught alone, accidentally nicked his ear while training.
-Manipulated the colony into calling it "it/it's" by saying that treating them like they are Her by calling it "she/her" was an utter disrespect to Her because a SunCat is only a vessel and nothing more(this probably resulted in a trend of SunCat's getting called by it/it's for a few years before switching back to she/her).
-they are a clever little bitch

BLUE EYE:
-he/any
-titled after his one blue eye
-coward
-Raised to hate Her.
-Really just wants to leave with his siblings.
-the pretty one of his sibling

SISTER:
-she/her
-not actually named sister, just referred to that by Blue Eye and SunCat.
-training to be a future guard.
-was the first one to figure out Suncat was her littermate.
-loyal to her siblings and her siblings alone.

THE STORY:
Guard never finished his training before getting a suncat due to suneve coming much earlier than expected. The previous SunCat and Guard attempted to run away together, but got caught- after this, the previous guard was killed and Her symptoms sped up on previous SunCat.
Suncat and previous SunCat are siblings, and due to this, their parents are seen as favored by Her, but little does the Colony know... both of SunCat's parents(Weed tail(always gets weeds stuck on his tail) and Red fur(she has bright red fur)) are traitors and want Her dead.
Guard's parents were also traitors- his mother, a senior guard, had gotten caught and killed, while his father ran, leaving Guard alone(because Acidflick just straight up doesn't exist here... They would cause too many issues).
Guard was meant to kill SunCat, put to the task by Weed tail. But as mentioned before, they got attached. Eventually Weed tail attempted to do it himself but... guard is a good guard, sooo... yeah.
When Blue Eye and Sister found out Suncat was their littermate, they started sneaking out together, and hanging out and playing, which guard supported and allowed, considering he knows what it's like to grow up lonely.
But when suneve started approaching, Suncat started begging for death, and that it didn't want Her to eat their soul. But... Guard, nor Suncat's siblings could do it. So SunCat died feeling betrayed, but of course, they found a way to escape Her after death- so they aren't to angry.
After Suncat's death, Guard took it's siblings with him out of the beast's nest, and ending up meeting a rather friendly colony... they're happy now, but plan to go back eventually, to burn that damn cult to the ground.
(AND A REMINDER THAT NONE OF THIS IS CANON TO BURNING FLOWERS OR JUMALANPELKO... PROBABLY)
