@burninginsilence liked for a starter.
It had been nearly a week since he had arrived here, and he still had little to no idea on how exactly the feat had been achieved. He remembered that strange artifact. Somehow, it had transported him to what was supposedly Earth. He knew it simply couldn’t be his Earth, though - because there was a startling high amount of people with powers straight out of comic books, as well as people with animal features. It had to be an alternate reality.
He had been trying to learn more about this world, but it hadn’t been easy. He didn’t have an identity in this place. No documents, no money. He was a blip on the radar, an oddity that no one investigated because he was good at hiding existence.
Or, at least he had been.
He was walking down the street when he saw a shady group of people approaching a warehouse. His gut told him that something was wrong, so he decided to see what exactly they were doing. From the way they kept looking around and the lack of uniforms, he doubted this warehouse belonged to them. He kept out of their view and continued to approach what he suspected was a robbery. He had been around for thousands of years. Stealth was nothing new.
He slipped inside the warehouse and remained in the shadows. After listening to the group chat for a few minutes, his guess was confirmed - he was watching a robbery. He didn’t know have a phone on him, and he didn’t even know the police’s number. He let out an inaudible sigh. Now that he was watching it, he had to do something.
He cleared his throat and stepped out of the shadows.
Heads spun around. Someone lunged at him, while others raised their gun to fire. As he jumped back, instinct overcame reason - green flames burst up as he cast a Detonation in front of the larger group’s feet.
