This episode was basically another John Carpenter movie
In John Carpenter’s (1982) "The Thing", researchers discover an alien space ship. Inside is a frozen parasitic alien creature that assimilates other organisms and then imitates them.

If you were freaked out by this episode, I can guarantee you'll be freaked out by the movie...the original...not the remake. Scared the crap out of me when I was little!
