Eri as the flower girl for EraserMics wedding? She gets nervous in front of everybody so dadzawa to the rescue
Eri stood by the large white doors, recognizing the beginning of the music from some movies she had watched with Yamada during “sappy” wedding scenes. She didn’t quite understand what “sappy” meant, but she trusted Aizawa enough to take his word for it when he had unenthusiastically sighed through the scenes, rolling his eyes as Yamada fought back tears.
She fidgeted with the flower basket she was holding, peeking past the door as the music continued. This was her cue. She should be walking down the carpet, tossing flowers around as she made her entrance.
But she could already feel the eyes of the entire crowd on her despite remaining glued to her current spot. She tried to spot Deku or Lemillion to no avail. She began to feel dizzy, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as she trembled in nervousness. She knew that she had missed her entrance. She had one simple job. It would have made Aizawa and Yamada so happy, but she couldn’t find the courage to walk out to the eyes that would be lingering on her every move. They had rehearsed this before, but this time she felt alone and afraid, the long walkway seemingly spanned for miles.
You’re a mistake.
You know the consequences of disobedience.
“Eri-chan, is everything okay?”
Eri blinked, sniffing as she watched Aizawa squat down to her level. The man looked so different with his hair gelled back, his hero jumpsuit traded out for a fancy black suit and tie, but his gentle voice remained the same.
She shook her head, staring down at her blue dress and white shoes. Her ears grew red as she prepared herself to be berated for being unable to perform her role correctly.
“Hey, if you can’t do this, it’s fine,” Aizawa huffed, his face softening as he took one of the flowers out of the basket to place in Eri’s neatly combed hair.
“... ‘m scared...”
“Me too.”
Eri’s eyes widened at the unexpected confession.
“I’m not good with being the center of attention,” Aizawa said, rubbing the back of his neck. “And after today, things will be different even though everything’s really still the same... I suppose that doesn’t really make any sense. I guess I’m just nervous, even though it’s irrational.”
Eri didn’t miss how Aizawa’s eyes flicked over to glance at Yamada who was waiting patiently for the both of them to reach the podium, a rare smile twitching at the edges of his lips.
Even heroes can get nervous too, Eri thought. Even Aizawa, the one person who always seemed to remain calm and impassive.
“Can we go together?” Eri settled on asking, reaching out her hand to gently hold Aizawa’s. She felt a reassuring squeeze as Aizawa nodded, standing back up with her small hand still in his grasp.
Even after living at UA for a year, Eri still found a lot of things scary, small things that reminded her of the life she had before, things like dark hallways, unfamiliar faces, loud explosions.
But walking down the wedding aisle with Aizawa holding her hand, overall, it wasn’t too scary.
