Business Brainstorming and Clarity
Just a quick note on an event I went to this week. Not strictly an adventure in healing, but thought I'd include all the same. It was a local Business Brainstorming group where people come together to share ideas around their businesses and start ups. I've been a few times. It starts a bit like an AA meeting: I'm Jane and I'm a dress designer etc. Then there's some sharing and it breaks to social.
About eighteen people were there. Someone had brought along a video with a clip he recommended the group watch. I recognised the chap from a Law of Attraction event we'd both been to previously. I'd mentioned then that I'd just bought a juicing machine and he'd directed me to the YouTube channel for 'Dan the life regenerator' which was brilliant. He'd also sent around a link at that time to a book called Clarity by Jamie Smart. I couldn't place that name at the time but it hit me afterwards that he was an NLP'er and had had a website called NLP salad that I'd come across years before.
The video we were to watch was also by Jamie Smart. It just happened it was geared to people in healing or coaching professions. The clip we saw outlined that often practitioners had issues with invisibility, accepting money in exchange for their work, wanting to be liked by clients and silver bullet thinking. I didn't capture all that Smart said but it seemed BS-free and I'd have liked to see more.
It did make me chuckle that as the laptop warmed up, an artist shared his latest creative venture: living with 250 photos of the UK Prime Minister David Cameron on his walls. I've found his story in print: http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/quirkies/10521572.Forget_House_of_Commons__Kemp_Town_artist_creates_House_of_Camerons/. He sure does have a sense of fun and mischief with his creations.
