Business Storytelling & Brand Development

When I started this course, I knew I would gain so much knowledge in a department that i knew nothing about. BRANDING. It may sound silly, but I never thought about it in such detail before. This course taught me a few things that I must share with you.

First, you must understand what you are a brand. YOU are the very first brand for anything that you will do. Your brand is how people perceive you, what they can expect from you, and what people will know you best for. 

So next, I did a quick survey on my personal social media page by asking my followers:

What do you think I actually do?

I was not unpleasantly suprised by the answers I got, but I was indeed suprised! I think it ws a great first step into knowing what sort of “brand” you are alluding without even knowing it.

Next, I had the opportunity to learn how to search for a trademark name for any company name I might have in mind for me very own businesses. I also learned to weigh the pros & cons to having a name. By the end of my research, I found that I was in the clear with exception of a person or two that are using the name loosely but not professionally. 

Overall, I would reccomend this class to anyone that would listen!
