Day 3 on the Bustin Yoface 35"

Today I spent a good 3 hours just practicing tech sliding moves and watching some how to's on YouTube. The board is super easy to learn the basic tech slide tricks on. I can see why you need harder wheels though because I nearly cored my 83a micro motions. Swapped them out for some much harder bones wheels I had and although it made it a lot more icy, it was easier to initiate slides and more forgiving when you don't put enough power in to the slide. It's obvious this board has been designed with tech sliding in mind as every little pocket just feels right. I still can't get my head around blunt slides though, if you can pull one you are a straight nutter and you have +10 points of awesomeness. Still can't find anything wrong with the board yet, loving every second my feet are on it.

First day on the Bustin Yoface 35"

Today I took the Bustin Yoface 35" into my local bowl and half pipe and had a really great time on it, the board doesn't feel too long or heavy to have in the skate park, in fact, I think it feels better than a regular double kick. It's stronger and wider and more poppy too, the concave locks your feet like a dream. I also just got back from a late night street/tech slide/downhill-ish run. I set the board up with some 99a Powell wheels and because of the concave just felt that the board was too icy with those wheels, even for tech sliding. I swapped them back to my 83a micro motions and it felt a lot more controllable. I had a really fun time riding in on the small street hill next to my house, sliding the board is a breeze and so is popping HUGE ollies, I honestly didn't know I could ollie that high. Can't wait to get it dialed over the next few days, but it's safe to say I think this board is a definite winner. Stay tuned for more on the Bustin Yoface 35".
