It was a day to wrap your chilly hands around a hot cup of tea. After hanging out the washing I came inside to hear the bread maker beeping. It was lovely and warm when I took the loaf out so I dipped my frozen fingers in for a while. I did wander around the garden too before the frost disappeared and once the sun came out I fitted in a Friday lunchtime run. After all that, stitching on panel 4 will keep me awake until bed time.

Friday was spent working in the sewing room/home office steadily busy answering questions and doing prep work for an upcoming event. I took an early lunch and rode my bike around to the hairdressers for a much needed haircut. I just about froze on the bike ride home. As I rounded the bend of our street I saw the fireplace fixer guy parked up. He followed me home and set about installing the new fan on our fire. He did a great job and soon the house was warm again although a bit stinky from some paint and new parts. I ran after work, there was a huge tree down across my path to the beach. It must have made a huge crack when the trunk split. In the evening we went to see Dawn French of Vicar of Dibley fame. Daughter had bought Hubs tickets for Christmas. We laughed so much we had tears rolling down our cheeks. This morning has been busy too. It started out with a leisurely breakfast by the fire and ended up with the purchase of a new laundry tub and clothes dryer. This afternoon Hubs is on installation duty. He has set himself the target of 4pm to have the sink unit installed and the dryer in place. Good luck love.

Busy Friday

I was going to write a normal post today, but then I realized I have an appointment at 10:30, another at noon, and a women’s Christmas gathering this evening. The last two things require some driving time.

Gin’s Journal Part #8

Ever since i met Yuu, i came to learn of the Uragshi. The clan is established by Yuu and Caqi with principles and rules befitting of the time we are in. Uragshi means "forward" and it pretty much state the philosophy and values behind the clan's creation.

I was born a Kha, my parents are a Kha and so does my ancestors. Perhaps that is why wanderlust is in my blood. When i left my home many years ago, i already resolved to the fact that i may not return home in this lifetime. Yuu is an Uragshi although she was born a Himaa, this and the fact that the Uragshi embodies the values that i aspire for, gives me enough reason to seek an entrance into the clan.

After speaking with Caqi, she instructed me on a set of task to complete one most important is to seek pelt and tusk from a mammoth. Sarnai also said that she wants to spar with me and see how i perform. 

Now to find a Mammoth to hunt, i expect to find a leader of a pack or an older Mammoth. It is only suitable for my entrance into the Uragshi, i want to make Yuuqi proud...
